What if I receive a windfall of money?

During the six (6) months after your case is filed if you should become entitled to receive inheritances, gifts, tax refunds, personal injury settlements, or other substantial assets over $2,000, the Trustee may have a claim on such items. You should contact our office to discuss such funds or assets before spending or disposing of them or you may be liable to the Trustee for reimbursement of these funds.
